All those rules about tax residency, and paying taxes in 1 country in general are so outdated.

Usually, you pay taxes, but you “take advantage” of social services in the country so in a way you know why you are paying them.

As a traveler, I pay taxes, but I don’t benefit from them at all as I don’t live there.

I hope this change someday… but I do struggle to picture it as I can’t imagine governments ever agreeing on anything.

This is such a real pain point. I'm literally paying into systems I can't use while covering my own healthcare, infrastructure, everything out of pocket. It's like paying rent for a house you're not allowed to live in. The whole tax/benefits model just wasn't built for people like us to begin with.

It’s so frustrating right?

I don’t know what the solution is, because governments will never agree on anything 😅

That’s when I’m tempted to just say “f**k it all” and go “dark” and declare no taxes lol.

Haha I feel this so hard. The temptation to just disappear into the liminal wilderness is real 😅 Governments will government at the end of the day, but honestly this is exactly why we're building what we're building :) it's better than waiting for 195 countries to suddenly start playing nice together lol

For sure! I hope we can see something cool happening soon 🤩
